Last night was maybe one of the most fun I've had here. After eating dinner and being stunningly unproductive until around eight, when I decided to start working on an application for a job I was invited to look into, I worked until ten thirty when Roommate J made the somewhat startling declaration (for a Saturday night, or any night really) that she was going to bed. She even got her pajamas on and started climbing up to the top bunk. SoccerRoommate was dressing to go out, even thought she didn't really want to, and the three of us started singing that song from Mulan, "I'll Make a Man Out of You." Roommate J climbed down and we did an impromptu acting out of another scene from Mulan before SoccerRoommate left. Then I said, "I don't want to work any more," and Roommate J said, "I don't really want to sleep," and I said, "Let's have an Elvis dance party," and she said, "Okay."
Of course, neither of us had any Elvis songs and we settled for singing "I Ain't Nothing But a Hound Dog," before grabbing pillows, sitting on the floor, and gossiping for a good two hours before we decided to paint our nails.
RussianRoommate arrived at this point, deduced that there was a slumber party going on, and asked if we were playing Truth or Dare. I said we weren't, but that I at least was willing to play Truth or Truth, and so we did. We rolled into bed around two, still wondering about the answers to such questions as, "[redacted]?" and "If you had to go on a date to a restaurant in Princeton, where would you go?"
Today: Work, work, more work, tea, work, perhaps in a coffee shop, dinner, attempted work, Prime Suspect (or The West Wing, or House, or Six Feet Under), bed.

Reminder to parents: the new A Room With a View is TONIGHT! "This must be taped!" :)
Also: a shout-out to Dad, who is winning an award today but is too humble to care much about it. Well, I care, and I'm proud. And Mom (Mum?) is almost done with work on her book, so congrats to her too!
Love,
Nom de Plume
