Here's the thing. When I buy a book, or check one out from the library, I have usually researched it so much that it's pretty much a forgone conclusion that I'll like it. Similarly, the people who give me book know me well enough to know, at least, what I won't hate.
So that being said, I don't really hate this book, but I read it for class and didn't like it.
The heroine was too perfect. That can really kill it for me.
