This, my dears, was clearly the year of the re-read, with a grand total of twelve. It was also the year of series (but then again, with me, what year isn't?), as I devoured two and wrapped up two more.

And then, of the newly read...
Top Five of the Year, in descending order:

A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth
A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood
Mary Ann in Autumn by Armistead Maupin
Nineteen Seventy Four by David Peace
The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters

Of the fifty-two, one I would never, ever read again and two were extremely overrated. One was underrated. One mentioned a Snuggie. Five really grossed me out. Four were dead boring. One hit a little too close to home. Two of the re-reads became two of my favorite books.
