Today was my last day of prison.
Of all the lasts this week, I think this last visit to prison was the hardest/best. My teacher gave me a reflection on teaching for me to frame and put up at my desk in Chicago. The prisoners said thanks. The TAs gave me friendly nods. I narrowly avoided crying in front of thirteen felons.
And just now in the car back, from F, the guy who drives the car, Psalm 37:3-4. And: "For the rest of your life, don't let anything intimidate you." And: "We stop making mistakes when we die."
