It's a sunny day in Midwest Town. Or...it was. Until those ominous stormclouds rolled in and sent Mom into fits of panic re: the large group of undergrads invading our backyard tonight.
We shall see.

Anyway, with my letters of response mailed back to the colleges today, all I have left to do is finish school and wait for my housing package to arrive. Oh, and that one thing. Yeah. See, way back in January my class picked me and another classmate to be the two graduation speakers. Which was flattering, and still is but for once teensy niggling question at the back of my brain. Said speech: How to write it?
Actually I have a couple great ideas. I just have to sit down and, you know, do it. But that's harder than it sounds, what with the other 1,265,344 school related things I have to do. Hmmm.

So I had a little moment of pre-homesick homesickness the other day. Subcontinent and I will be on the opposite sides of the country from one another, as she attends "We're All Women But Don't Be Fooled (We have meat and sunshine too)" College. A.k.a Scripps. I'm a little sad about that. After all, the two of us have been a hop skip and a jump away since the womb. In some ways, it will be harder than leaving my parents...
In some ways, guys.

Well, I must go and do homework so they don't take back my acceptance. And pray that the party doesn't get rained on/out. And then watch House. Yay!
